My passion for history runs through all of my endeavors. After years of teaching American Indian History at Universities I am retired and spend my time finding beautiful things in the American West. I spend time nurturing and sharing the antique culture of the American Indian tradition and capturing the images of the present-day Rocky Mountains.
Although retired from teaching I continue to be actively engaged in conducting historical research for authentication of documents and objects and for educational websites as well as professional presentations and articles.
I received degrees from Rice University (BA), Appalachian State University (MA) and University of Wyoming (PhD). He taught history at University of Alaska Anchorage, Dartmouth College and Idaho State University.
I make my home in a log house in the Flathead Valley of Montana with my wife of 40 years and our dog.
